The Forgotten ;; a warriors roleplay « Result #1 on Aug 15, 2009, 9:22am »
There was once a time, so many years ago, when we lived together, not in peace, but in better conditions than this. We knew that there would never be true peace, but wars were mostly unheard of, and there was always a night of peace with the coming of the full moon. That’s all gone now. It has been for countless generations, and it may never come again. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if it only got worse....
....So who are we, do you ask? We are the defiant; the ones who learned the evil embedded in our ancestors lies. We are the ones who will one day reclaim what was taken from us. We are the hungry of the world. We are always cold, and we have kept quiet all these years. We are the ones that are only legends and myths to the fortunate. But no longer will we stay that way. We will rise up and fight once more, and even if we win, we will always remain what we are;

Loveless sighed, his ears flicking back and resting against his skull. "Cats ignore me for reasons beyond my understanding." he mewed, glancing up at the sky where the moon was beginning to rise. The question of why he was living pulsed through Loveless's mind as he watched the moon. His eyes reflected the brilliant light as he looked back at Silence.
"Was Beloved your friend?" Loveless asked. He didn't know many of his early brother's friends, execpt that he had quite a few. The cool night air sent a small shiver through Loveless, his fur rising slightly. The anxiety in his mind almost made him lose it. Why is the night so silent? When others are talking, it's better. Even if it isn't someone talking to me. Do I fear the silence? No, silence has never done anything to me. I live in it almost everyday, Loveless rambled on in his mind, hardly making sense to even himself. Snapping back into the real world, Loveless locked his eyes with Silence's and waited for a response.
The life that I live is completely loveless... My brother died, his true name was Beloved... Everything is horrible now... And I feel like I am always in darkness... Can any one save me? Am I doomed to this torture? Please... Somebody break this damned silence... It's making me insane... All of my sanity... Is falling through the cracks...

This is ASHES IN YOUR PATH, a literate warriors roleplay. We're based on the book series Warriors by Erin Hunter. We've been going on for about 3 years and hope to pick up where we left off and keep getting stronger. Ashes has only two clans since a extremely bitter leafbare wiped out a great many of the clans cats, leaving them with few enough that ThunderClan and RiverClan joined and became StormClan and WindClan and ShadowClan joined and became WinterClan.
Our administrators are friendly and active, them being KAKO, CLEO, and KITSU. A few high positions are still open, so hurry and join to take them!

"We ought to think that we are one of the leaves of a tree, and the tree is all humanity. We cannot live without the others, without the tree." - Pablo Casals
Two years have passed since the Volturi encounter in the clearing. Our lives went on as usual, though nothing and yet everything has changed. My mother and father are perfectly content in their comfortable bliss. Mom has been acting funny. She seems stressed out and no matter how much I ask she won't tell me the problem. It must not be too bad, otherwise daddy would be even worse. Aunt Rose is starting to annoy me, she hovers more than anyone I know. Wait- that's not true. Jacob is the most over-protective person I know, which is really annoying me to my wits end.
Carlisle has been searching for any evidence of any type of shape-shifter in history as well as the 'children of the moon'. Esme redecorated the cottage yet again which I'm sure won't be the last. My room alone in the past several months has gone through hundreds of wallpapers, decorations, and comforter sets! As for Alice and Jazz, Alice has been trying to coax me into wasting more money on expensive clothes I'll grow out of in the next month, while Jazz just calms both me and my mother on a near daily basis. Emmett won't let up on his semi-grudge with my mom because of those idiotic arm-wrestling matches. Rosalie like I said, hovers.
My father however has been talking a lot with Alice, and now so is my mom. Something is wrong, I'm positive of that. They all have been talking and they typically try to keep me locked up here, where as now, they've been urging me to spend more time at La Push with Jacob and the packs. The only thing that could have them so stressed out is the inevitable. . . the Volturi.
Of course I've shown Jacob my theories and now I think I've given him a heavy amount of anxiety. The Volturi has been very cruel from what I've over-heard. While in the Amazon, Zafrina said the Volturi had tracked Nahuel's father, Joham, down and let Jane and Alec handle his execution. Soon after, his oldest daughter (that we know of), was found, then burnt to ashes.
The Romanians are pressing other covens to prepare themselves for a real war- or worse. . . Will our problems ever end? It's what Jacob told me that truly has me concerned. A full moon occurred the other night, which was usually no concern. This time there was terrible howling coming from deep in the forest, he described it as this thundering doleful sound that was loud enough for both his pack and Sam's to hear. It was not another shifter, that much he could tell and because it was like thunder, it was hard to tell where exactly it came from. By the time they reached the area to investigate, it was long gone. The scent was all that lingered, and it was more wolf than anything else. What had worried him was the fact the scent wasn't isolated. . .it wasn't alone. Children of the moon - a pack. You would think our lives couldn't get any worse right?
Well just this morning Alice warned us of visitors. Not the Volturi (thank goodness), but the woman who turned Jasper into a vampire and made him fight hundreds of newborns. Maria. She's coming with a few friends, none he recognizes and Jazz is obviously worried. He'd told her never to contact him again, but there must be a reason why she'd come up to Forks. Everything is changing. If Vladimir and Stefan are right, and a war is coming, maybe what we need now is to stay together and create new allies. How do I tell my family this? It's near impossible for us to settle things alone and we're going to need all the help we can find. That is. . .if it doesn't find us.

Painful to me
Star smiled softly, sadly. “No, I don’t think I’ll be doing that,” she murmured, turning her face to the horizon where the sun had turned the sky beautiful purples and pinks. “I was thinking that I might stick around and see if they actually took my words into consideration.” She shook her head slightly before continuing on, “Though I doubt that they will. They all seemed like strong-willed cats who don’t care what outsiders say.”
Pierce right through me
She sighed slightly and turned back to Holden. Seeing the sorrow in his eyes, she forced herself to smile again. “If… if you want me to go, I can. I understand if I am unwanted here. I am new, I am… foreign, I suppose, is the best way to describe myself in this strange land.”
Can’t you understand
Star laughed, hysteria edging into her voice. “And all I ever seem to do is insult you and the ones you love and the place you live!” She shook her head. “Great StarClan, I’m pathetic. I am simply awful with words, too, I can never get my point across without hurting someone!” Fresh tears were budding at her eyes. “Perhaps it would be best for me to leave.”

Death Rose looked at him as if he had grown another head. He was serioues! Death Rose thought about his question for awhile. Toms weren't exactly the smartest thing at all. Well to her. Death Rose kept thinking about traits, Well, someone who will fight beside me, not for me. He can't be kissing the ground I walk on. Who doesn't try to help comfort me by talking. Death Rose lowered her blue gaze for awhile. She looked back up and meowed in defeat, It wouldn't kill me to meet this tom, I guess. Death Rose had given up, she might as well try to meet a tom, it could help. Maybe.

Angel's eyes snapped up at the sound of a young she-cat's voice. Her eyes narrowed once more into slits as the small cat defended Quietflame. What had he done to her to make her believe in him so much. No one deserved the ill fate of liking Quietflame. He was just...wrong.
But Time seemed to genuinely want to protect the bag of filth that called himself leader. And her words stung. Angel's ears flattened against her skull as Time spat the words at her. It was true, Angel had done nothing to help. She was just wandering around trying to avoid certain cats.
She looked away in disgust as Quietflame seemed to praise the young cat and she quietly stalked over to the direction of Eleven, previous argument currently forgotten. He is treating her as though she was his pet or something. she hissed at Eleven, glancing their way again.
Triumph burst through Time's angry words as the white she-cat flattened her ears and looked away. She had won! She had actually stood up to someone that she believed in! Everyone should be proud of her, she had never done something like that before.
Feeling a warm tail wrap around her, Time looked up into the face of said cat that she had been defending. For a moment the thought that she had done something bad flickered in her mind and she awaited his response in anticipation. When it did come, the unexpected praise made a warm smile spread across the she-cat's face and a mixture of pride and hope sparkled in her blue eyes.
You really mean that? she asked hopefully, relishing the comfortable feeling of standing near the white tom. It reminded her of sitting near her father on a cold night with his purring lulling her into a safe sleep. Here she felt safe, safe from her father which she knew was hunting her and safe from all the bad things that she thought existed in the world.
...you would have reclaimed me, if anything could.

It was the most beautiful day you could think of. The sun was shining, the dew lay on the grass, sprinkled ever so lightly and delicately dripping from the tips of a green fern or a pine needle. Though the dark looming trees of the Soul's territory blocked out much of the sun, Rainy Night had surely enough found a patch of golden sunlight to bathe in. She'd been without a visit to see Paroxysm in a while, so her time was spent meandering around the terra and collecting prey for the Soul or helping to build dens. But something raged inside of her.. something she wasn't used to and herself couldn't identify...
...every time the she-cat walked by the dens, she named what it was for, as if counting them off. Warrior's den. Elder's den. Leader's den. Apprentice's den. Medicine Cat's den. She always frowned at the medicine cats den. There were two reasons, really. As she looked at the warrior's den, she noticed that strong, able cats had begun to congregate there. As she looked into the elder's den, some old half-rogue straggler had settled in to rest. As she walked by the leader's den, Rainy Night could just barely see Soul hidden in the darkness. And at the mouth of the apprentice's den, the younger cats had begun to accumulate and play, an occasional 'warrior' coming to tease or play-fight with them. The issue was that whenever Rain saw the empty medicine cat's den, her heart roared. There was no medicine cat. Still, what hurt her even more was the thought of kits. There should be kits there. Beautiful, plump, adorable balls of fur, rolling and mewing, their queen waiting for them to suckle. But none showed. Love and kits were the furthest thing from many minds these days. There was concern of sickness, death. What if the Soul failed? Would you want to be left alone with kits and no where to go? Still, Rainy Night felt her insides groan at the thought of having kits.
So as she lay in the sunlight, brilliant red fur illuminated by the dappled sunlight, she smiled, and stretched. She was young, pretty. She was the future of the Soul, the more she thought about it.
Rainy Night didn't know if she wanted to be in love, but she did know that she felt empty and pale, and wanted little somebodies to fill that gap.
[OOC/ kay so, if you're in the body and are looking for a mate, here's an open she-cat. AlLLsooo it might be interesting if she has an affair with a cat from another clan and gets pregnant? ooooo. I don't know. ;] .]
